Amma meditating Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique SM

Born of Amma's divine inspiration, the IAM Technique can lead us to the ultimate goal of Self-realization. But this meditation can also serve as the key for those searching for fulfillment in material life. By opening the paths to our own inner creativity and self-expression, this technique helps us to lead a more balanced life, gives us a positive outlook that helps us to face life's challenges.

It is called the Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique because through practice, it brings about integration in our lives-an integration of body, mind, intellect and heart, an integration of our True Self with God.

Our mind determines the way we perceive the world, and the way we react. If we look at ourselves, we will see that we are rarely in control of our mind. Most people are more reactive than responsive. This is essentially due to unsettled and unresolved emotions that lie deep within. The tendency to react instead of respond dissipates a tremendous amount of creative energy, energy that could be used for personal development and to benefit society.

One of the main functions of the Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM) Technique is to channel our energies properly so that we can tap into unexplored realms of our talents. Meditation creates silence within. In this meditative silence, our gifts, inner potential and capacities become clearer and they manifest spontaneously. Through meditation, a musician becomes a better musician. The quality of their voice and singing will change; everything becomes more graceful, more loving, more beautiful. You can still do the same things-as a parent, teacher, businessperson, etc.-but your inner transformation makes you better at whatever you do.

What is the secret behind this change? Meditation has helped you to penetrate new layers of consciousness. Meditation doesn't bring in anything new from outside of you; it simply helps you to realize your inner capacities and finally takes you to the highest goal of life, Self-realization.

Who can practice IAM? Anyone over 18 years of age who agrees to practice the technique for 30 minutes a day and guard the secrecy of the teaching can learn. It costs nothing, yet it is as precious as gold! The wisdom of the seers has always been passed on free to earnest disciples. Amma, in Her compassion and following that great and ancient tradition, is giving this technique freely to Her children.
